Iran: Massive crowd in Saqqez on the 40th day of Mahsa Amini’s martyrdom

Cry of “Death for Khamenei” throughout Iran, university, high school students, workers, shop owners stage protests
Today, Wednesday, October 26, the people of Saqqez marched from different parts of the city to Mahsa Amini’s grave in Aichi Cemetery to commemorate the 40th day of her martyrdom. Despite repressive measures and blocking of roads, people reached the cemetery through secret ways, including through the river.
The massive crowd of Saqqez residents at Aichi cemetery chanted, “Death to the dictator,” “We are all Mahsa, Fight and we will fight back,” “Death to the dictator,” “This year is a year of sacrifice. Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,” “Freedom, Freedom, Freedom,” “From Kurdistan to Tehran, I sacrifice my life for Iran,” and “Imprisoned teachers must be freed.”
Markets went on strike in many cities, including Kamyaran, Marivan, Mahabad, Sanandaj, Bukan, Javanroud, Gilangharb, Shariati Kerman, Isfahan, Dehgolan, Bushehr, Lalezar and Iranshahr in Tehran. Groups of oil refinery workers in Tehran and Abadan also stopped working.
Students in various universities, including Khajeh Nasir of Tehran, Tehran Dentistry, Najaf Abad University, Tabriz, Tehran Campus Azad, Isfahan Girls Technical College, Chamran of Ahvaz, Azad Kerman, Ferdowsi Engineering Faculty of Mashhad, Azad Boroujard, Sadrai Shiraz, Rasam Karaj staged sit-ins and demonstrations.
In Tehran, people protested in different districts, including Naziabad, Behesht Square, Nizam Pezeshki, Amir Abad, Hashemi, and Lalezar, chanting, “Death to the dictator” and “Death to Khamenei.” People gathered on Hashemi Street in Tehran to demonstrate. At the same time, people in various cities, including Isfahan, Kerman, Mashhad, and Karaj, staged protests.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said today: The cry of “Death to Khamenei” can be heard from all over Iran, from Saqqez to Mahsa’s tomb, to Naziabad, Amirabad, and Lalezar in Tehran, and from Mashhad to Isfahan and Kerman. Students, shop owners, and workers of all walks of life have risen to overthrow the mullahs. The world must recognize the Iranian people’s right to topple this regime.
