Maryam Rajavi meets Austrian MEP Heinz Becker

Mr. Becker reiterated the European Parliament members’ solidarity with the Iranian Resistance and the PMOI, and particularly with the freedom fighters. He congratulated Mrs. Rajavi on the great victory of the Iranian Resistance for the successful relocation of all of them to Europe.

Mr. Becker lauded the struggle of the Iranian people and Resistance against the religious fascist regime ruling Iran. He said: The efforts of the Iranian Resistance in divulging the nature of the clerical regime proved that the regime’s conducts and views have nothing to do with Islam. This is what the world needs today.

Mr. Becker concluded: The Iranian Resistance’s struggle is not only for Iran but it is also in the interest of the entire Middle East region, the World of Islam and the European countries.

Mr. Becker said: I appreciated the status and effectiveness of the NCRI from the Iranian regime’s reactions. The regime and its agents tried to dissuade me from supporting the Iranian Resistance by sending me piles of false information. However, this helped me better appreciate the righteousness of the resistance movement because it has made the regime resort to such falsities.

Mr. Becker asserted: Today, the Iranian regime has no options but to suppress the resistance because when a movement has endured so much pressures and conspiracies for 37 years and it has not disintegrated, it means that victory is definitely in prospect.

Maryam Rajavi expressed her gratitude to members of the European Parliament for their endeavors and emphasized that Europe must keep its commitment to human rights principles in any economic dealing with the clerical regime. She said: It should condition its economic trades with the Iranian regime on improvement of human rights, the situation of women, free access to the internet, etc. She added: The EP plays a very significant role in the adoption of a proper policy by the European Union and in preventing the policy of appeasement of the mullahs’ regime.

Dr. Saleh Rajavi, the representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in France, also attended this meeting.
