The Iraqi government recognizes that has arrested 7 PMOI members
Maryam Rajavi called on urgent action by the US secretary of State, the UN secretary General, the UN High commissioner for the refugees, and the International Red Cross to act for the release of the hostages.
Kamel Amin, Deputy of the so called Iraq’s human rights ministry announced on Thursday 12th of September: “The Security forces have arrested these people since they had assaulted them.”
Therefore, after 11 days of denial, the Iraqi Government assumed responsibility for abduction of 7 members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran and announced that 7 members missing members of the PMOI are in the custody of the security forces. It was absurdly alleged that the reason for their detention was their attack on security forces.
Maryam Rajavi called on urgent action by the US secretary of State, the UN secretary General, the UN High commissioner for the refugees, and the International Red Cross to act for the release of the hostages.
In recent days the seven hostages were seen in blue prison uniforms in Maliki Golden division.
