One of the leaders of the German Christian Democratic Party, met with Maryam Rajavi

Mrs. Rajavi thanked Mr. Pöttering for his efforts for democracy and human rights and elaborated on the latest developments in Iran uprising as well as the flagrant violations of human rights in Iran and the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons program. She emphasized the need to impose comprehensive sanctions against the regime and to support the Iranian Resistance.

Dr. Pöttering thanked Mrs. Rajavi and voiced concern over the violation of human rights and Tehran’s nuclear projects. He underscored the need to have dialogue with groups opposed to dictatorships, noting that we must remember that those who are in opposition today will be in power tomorrow.
