Mayor of Magny en Vexin in Auvers
On Saturday, April 10, Mr. Jean Pierre Muller, Mayor of Magny en Vexin and First Deputy to the Council of Mayors in Val d’Oise Province, and a delegation of the town’s Council, met with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi in Auvers-sur-Oise.
Those present at the NCRI’s headquarters and the Resistance’s sympathizers welcomed the Mayor and the accompanying delegation.
In her welcoming remarks, Mrs. Rajavi said,
“It is indeed a pleasure for us to welcome you in Auvers-sur-Oise, the headquarters of the NCRI. For you are much closer to all of us here and to the Iranian Resistance than friends would be.
“To us, you are the Resistance’s brothers and sisters because you stood with us during our most difficult times. Those in Ashraf are appreciative of your solidarity and support during the July 28, 29 assaults on Camp Ashraf.
“I welcome you and hope that we can welcome you in a free Iran.
“Mr. Mayor, you repeatedly expressed your profound belief in the fall of the dictatorship and fascism. You were among those who, before all else, tore down the wall of misunderstanding and lies around us.
“In Iran across the nation the people cried out. The uprising is continuing in Iran and people are chanting ‘down with the principle of the velayat-e faqih’ while demanding democracy and freedom.
“In Iraq, the voters chose nationalist and secular forces who oppose the mullahs’ fundamentalism and the conspiracy against Camp Ashraf.
“I promise to you that soon, and once and for all, the Iranian people will bring down the wall of repression. Then, they will be able to welcome their friends from the bottom of their hearts. I again thank you for accepting our invitation and honoring us by being here.
