A call to refer the iranian regime’s nuclear dossier to the UNSC
On the eve of the International Atomic Energy Agency‘s Board of Governors meeting, I urge American and European leaders to refer the nuclear dossier of the clerical regime in Iran to the United Nations Security Council.
Three weeks ago, Kamal Kharrazi, adviser to the mullahs’ supreme leader and head of the Iranian regime’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, spoke for the first time about changing the clerical regime’s “nuclear doctrine” which would include building an atomic bomb. He emphasized that they possess “the capacity to produce nuclear weapons.”
Under the pretext of a potential Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Ali Khamenei’s adviser announced that “It is possible and conceivable to revise Iran’s nuclear doctrine and policies, moving away from previously announced considerations.”
On behalf of the Iranian people‘s Resistance for Peace and Freedom, I once again emphasize the urgency for the international community to activate the trigger clause in Resolution 2231 and related UN Security Council resolutions concerning Iran’s nuclear projects.
It is critically important to classify the regime under Chapter VII of the UN Charter and to officially designate the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
