Maryam Rajavi Meets with Ms. Naike Gruppioni, Member of the Italian Parliament

On Thursday, August 15, Maryam Rajavi met with Ms. Naike Gruppioni, a distinguished member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Parliament.
At the outset of the meeting, Ms. Gruppioni remarked, “From the very first time I saw you, I was profoundly impressed by your struggle and courage. You embody a model of bravery for women. The fact that you have dedicated your life to the people of Iran, particularly the women of your country, so that future generations can grow up in freedom and within a free society, is truly inspiring. This dedication is not only significant for Iran but also serves as a model for all of us. The ten-point plan you have proposed is unparalleled and should be introduced to the world.”
Elaborating on the situation in Iran following the regime’s sham presidential elections, Mrs. Rajavi stated: This spectacle has demonstrated that the regime has been rejected by over 90% of the Iranian people and has no future. It has once again proven that any notion of moderation within this regime is nothing but an illusion, and the new president is merely a continuation of Ebrahim Raisi, the henchman of the 1988 massacre, and a loyal servant of Khamenei.
She added that, like terrorism and warmongering, misogyny is an inherent characteristic of this regime, essential to its survival. Consequently, women and girls in Iran have opposed this regime from the very beginning. Tens of thousands have been arrested, tortured, or executed. Women have demonstrated unparalleled qualifications in the struggle against the religious dictatorship ruling Iran and have held crucial decision-making positions within our movement for years, leading this struggle.
