Execution of 27 Prisoners on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 5 and 6—438 Executions Under Pezeshkian’s Tenure

Mrs. Rajavi: The massacre of prisoners is Khamenei’s desperate attempt to curb public outrage and prevent uprisings.

Inaction and appeasement not only encourage the regime’s domestic crimes but also its terrorism and warmongering

In a brutal crime on Wednesday, November 6, Khamenei’s executioners sent at least 16 prisoners to the gallows. Eleven of the victims were hanged in Qezelhessar Prison, identified as Ajmal Azizi, Faramarz Enhesari, Jalil Eghbalzadeh, Mohammad Tajik, Mohammad Hossein Bayat, Mostafa Sarlak, Hossein Aghasi, Abdollah Garavand, a prisoner named Sadegh, and two unidentified prisoners. Additionally, Mostafa Rouzbahani and Hamed Darvishi were executed in Khorramabad, Yousef Ramezani in Ahar, Majid Alibabaei in Shiraz, and Ezzat Saeedi in Zanjan.

On Tuesday, November 5, the regime’s judiciary hanged 11 prisoners, six of whom—Mahmoud Shahraki, Mohammad Reza Davar, Zaher Safari, Majid Ghadiri, and two unidentified prisoners—were executed in Mashhad, while Yaqub Narouei, aged 26, was hanged in Zahedan. The names of four other executed prisoners were announced in a previous statement.

On Saturday, November 2, three prisoners—36-year-old Mohammad Javad Karimi, 27-year-old Shahrokh Saeedkhani, and Moeen Mirjahani—were executed in Isfahan. This brings the recorded number of executions since July, when Massoud Pezeshkian took office, to at least 438.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, stated that the savage executions of prisoners, which leave more children without parents each day and more parents, spouses, and families plunged into mourning, are Khamenei’s desperate attempt to curb public outrage and prevent uprisings.

Mrs. Rajavi added that silence, inaction, and the continuation of appeasement policies send a message of weakness that emboldens this regime to commit not only domestic atrocities but also acts of terrorism and warmongering. The international community must ostracize this regime, and its leaders must be brought to justice for four decades of crimes against humanity and genocide.
