The Tuesdays of “No to Executions” Campaign Enters Its Second Year

Maryam Rajavi: This movement symbolizes the resolve of human beings who have transformed prison into yet another front for struggle

The 53rd week of the hunger strikes on Tuesdays of “No to Executions” in Iran’s prisons marks the second year of this pervasive, nationwide and international campaign against the death penalty.

This movement symbolizes the resolve and steadfastness of human beings who, even in captivity, refuse to remain silent in the face of oppression and tyranny. They have transformed prison into yet another front for resistance and struggle.

The “No to Executions Tuesdays” symbolize the people’s determination to end oppression and achieve freedom, democracy, and justice

The relentless wave of executions serves as a tool to instill fear and suppress uprisings. The international community must hear the voices of these resilient prisoners and make its engagement with the regime conditional on halting executions and torture.
