Professor Vidal-Quadras and Amparo Fuertes Meet Maryam Rajavi: Support for the Iranian Resistance

On Friday, February 1, Professor Alejo Vidal-Quadras, President of the International Committee in Search of Justice and former Vice President of the European Parliament, along with Mrs. Amparo Fuertes, met with Maryam Rajavi in Paris and joined members and supporters of the Iranian Resistance.

Maryam Rajavi’s Tribute to Professor Vidal-Quadras

During the gathering, Maryam Rajavi addressed Professor Vidal-Quadras and Amparo Fuertes, stating:
“More than a year after the despicable terrorist attack orchestrated by the clerical regime—an attempt to eliminate Dr. Vidal entirely, which ultimately failed—his unwavering, dynamic, and passionate presence on every front remains a relentless thorn in the enemy’s side.
“Today, we see Dr. Vidal more driven than ever, stronger than ever, and more determined than ever to push forward successive campaigns. He seizes every opportunity to act in support of this Resistance.
“Indeed, what prevails are unyielding resolve and unwavering faith in the fight for freedom and the Iranian people’s triumph over this criminal regime. And what endures is the struggle of freedom-loving individuals against oppression and tyranny.”

Professor Vidal-Quadras on the Iranian Resistance and the Regime’s Vulnerabilities

Professor Vidal-Quadras, addressing members of the Resistance, expressed his gratitude for their warm welcome and stated: These days, we are experiencing a profoundly significant period. In our struggle to bring freedom and democracy to Iran and to liberate the Iranian people from the tyranny of the criminals who have held power for decades, we are seeing real vulnerabilities within the regime.
The events in Syria demonstrated that a dictatorship can collapse in just ten days. At any moment, something in Iran could occur that changes everything. But for that to happen, we must keep up the pressure on the regime.
So, dear friends, we have much work ahead. Deep within me, I feel that victory is near.
As I have often said, the Iranian regime will collapse under the weight of a twofold pressure: from within, through the Resistance of the Iranian people, the uprisings, and the Resistance Units—true examples of courage and sacrifice to whom we must pay tribute, as they risk their lives every day.
With this conviction and an unwavering determination to fulfill our duty and achieve ultimate victory, I am delighted to be with you once again. Rest assured that I will stand by you until my last breath, and together, we will fight for this noble cause.

Subsequently, Amparo Fuertes also addressed the gathering, stating, I would like to thank you for several reasons. First and foremost, I believe both of us are deeply grateful to you for allowing us to be part of your cause—one of the most noble, just, necessary, and significant causes of our time. It is truly a great honor to be given the opportunity to play even a small role in this struggle.
To have such a cause gives true meaning to a fulfilled life. Unfortunately, many people do not have this privilege, and for that, I am profoundly grateful to you.
