Maryam Rajavi’s messages and speeches to the annual gatherings of Iranian Resistance at Ashraf 3 – Albania
Publication date: July 2019
Beginning on July 11, the Iranian Resistance’s gatherings this year were held for five days at Ashraf 3, the seat of the Iranian Resistance in Albania.
Ashraf 3 is an exceptional city. Twenty months before the gatherings, it was a bare piece of land. The city was built by the Mojahedin, with great effort.
During the five-day meetings and conferences, the freedom fighters of the main opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) at Ashraf 3 hosted political dignitaries and international personalities as well as their countrymen and citizens from Europe, the U.S., Canada and Australia. This book has compiled the speeches made by Maryam Rajavi in the meetings and conferences held during the 2019 annual gatherings of the Iranian Resistance.
In addition to the gatherings at Ashraf 3, freedom loving Iranians held major rallies in five capitals of the world. Mrs. Rajavi sent video messages to the participants in these demonstrations. Excerpts of these messages are also included in this book.

No to Compulsory Veil
No to Compulsory Religion
No to Compulsory Government
Publication date: July 2017
This is a selection of six speeches by Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran from 2015 to 2017 in various conferences on the topic of Islam, compulsory veil, compulsory religion and compulsory government and why anything that is forced under any pretexts is contrary to the teachings of Islam. Maryam Rajavi argues that misogyny is the core of Islamic fundamentalism. In the case of Iran, she argues that misogyny under the cloak of religion has become systematic and persistent because it is a lever to maintain the monopolistic domination of the velayat-e faqih. Misogyny is the raison d’être for dozens of the regime’s suppressive agencies. It justifies the permanent surveillance operations in the streets, the actions of street patrols and the conduct of such agencies as the “Office to Combat Vice,” or the “Morality Police Force” and 20 other police entities. Similarly, clamping down on women on the pretext of mal- veiling is one of the most effective means to repress society and silence any voice of dissent.
Tolerant Islam vs. Extremism
Publication date: Juin 2016
This manuscript is a compilation of an article and excerpts from speeches by the Iranian Resistance’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi, a Muslim woman who has led a relentless struggle for freedom in Iran. She represents a voice against Islamic fundamentalism and religious tyranny and promotes democratic and tolerant Islam. This book explains the views of Islam on freedom, democracy and its opposition to fundamentalism. In the introduction to this book, we read:
Thirty-eight years after an authoritarian regime seized power in Iran under the banner of Islam, quarter of a century after the Persian Gulf war, 15 years after September 11, 2001 and the war in Afghanistan, 13 years after the US invasion of Iraq which opened its doors to the fundamentalists ruling Iran, and in the sixth year of Bashar Assad and the Iranian regime’s bloodbath in Syria, there is hardly any place in the world that has remained safe from the harms of Islamic fundamentalism and the terrorism emanating from it.
The terrorist attacks of January and November 2015 in Paris, December 2015 in California, March 2016 in Belgium, the explosion of a Russian airliner over the Sinai Peninsula in November 2015, and the horrendous slaughter of innocent people in Nice and Normandy in July 2016 in France, clearly demonstrate that this evil phenomenon has not limited itself to Islamic countries.
No one can dispute the fact that suppression of the people of Iraq at the hands of the Maliki government, and carnage and destruction in Syria by Bashar Assad had a significant impact on the emergence, expansion and empowerment of the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL or Daesh). Just as no one can deny the international community’s failure in supporting the people of Syria in the face of Bashar Assad’s war crimes and crimes against humanity, and its silence over the massacre of the people of Iraq by the Iranian regime and its puppet government in Iraq, no one can ignore the fundamentalists’ taking advantage of some shortfalls in Muslim communities in Europe.
Some tend to conflate Islam and extremism, arguing that the present predicament basically emanates from the approach of Islam. They, thus, exonerate the Iranian regime and the governments of Maliki and Bashar Assad or minimize the significance of their roles.
There are also those who shrink the scope of this threat to one sect and highlight Sunni extremism as the main danger, forgetting other aspects of extremism operating under the banner of Islam so much that they propose seeking assistance from Shiite fundamentalists to conquer Sunni fundamentalists. Meanwhile, the convergence of behind-the-scenes interests has made matters even more complicated.
The purpose of this book is not to offer an exhaustive analysis of the phenomenon, but to shed light on and answer a natural question: What is the genuine outlook of Islam on these crimes? Do those who commit such atrocities really represent Islam? The answer is a resounding “no”!
Then, the next question would be: What is the position of Islam on key issues such as “popular sovereignty,” “the principle of freedom” and “resorting to indiscriminate terrorism and violence”?
This manuscript is a compilation of an article and excerpts from speeches by the Iranian Resistance’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi, a Muslim woman who has led a relentless struggle to establish democracy, freedom and human rights in Iran.
She has consistently exposed and strongly denounced the mullahs’ exploitation of Islam, and their regressive and fossilized ideology which benefits from the reactionary misinterpretation of the pure teachings of the Quran and the Prophet of Islam as a superficial school of thought that promotes suppression, misogyny and terrorism. In contrast, she represents a voice that champions genuine Islam which is democratic and tolerant.
Iran Without Death Penalty

Their speeches were among the most interesting segments of the “Iran, Human Rights, Stop Executions” conference.
They urged international organizations to go beyond words in condemning the regime›s abuses and put on trial in international courts the Iranian regime leaders for their crimes, especially the 1988 massacre of 30,000 prisoners and the unrelenting, daily executions in Iran.
The conference featured an exhibition in memory of 120,000 political prisoners slain on the path of Iran’s freedom, including the 30,000 political prisoners massacred in 1988, which was enthusiastically welcomed by participants.

Publication date: 28 June 2015
Since its inception in 1979 misogyny has been the hallmark of this fundamentalist s regime. Against the regime’s backwardness, the Iranian people s resistance has been formed, with women playing a key role. This book pays tribute to the struggle of Iranian women in their steadfast struggle to bring about freedom and gender equality. This courageous battle, led by Maryam Rajavi, is for a democratic Iran relieved completely from fundamentalism.
As Muslim woman, Maryam Rajavi provides one of the most eloquent, profound and convincing rebukes of the blatant misappropriation of religion by the Iranian regime to justify its sordid misogynist views. Her role as the leader of a movement that stands at the forefront of the struggle against Islamic fundamentalism in the contemporary world uniquely qualifies her to unveil the hypocrisy of those who try to wage a war against women s rights in the name of Islam. Madame Rajavi s unique experiences and leadership role has equipped her with a revolutionary vision for gender equality not just in Iran but around the world.

Onwords to Freedom
Publication date: 03 February 2014
The recently published book “Towards Freedom” contains the printed version of the speech delivered by Maryam Rajavi at the great gathering of the Iranian Resistance in Villepinte, near Paris, on June 22, 2013.
In her address to the gathering, Madame Rajavi offered her take on the Iranian regime’s sham presidential elections of June 2013, and said: “The regime in its entirety came out weaker after the election and moved a step closer to being overthrown. Khamenei rejected Hashemi Rafsanjani, but in doing so, owing to the regime’s internal balance, he failed to engineer the election such that it could secure the victory of one of his favorite candidates.”
She added: “Afraid that this sham election would turn into a noose around the regime’s neck, Khamenei hastily wrapped it up and gave up on the idea of a run-off. Otherwise, gatherings that had taken place on the eve of the election with the chants of “free all political prisoners” would have quickly turned into widespread uprisings.”
Mrs. Rajavi also underscored the spread of fundamentalism and terrorism by the regime to all over the world, warning about the consequences of continuing the policy of appeasement toward Tehran and saying: “If you do not want to witness the spread of war and bloodshed in the region, there is no other option but to overthrow this regime.”
At the conclusion of her remarks, Madame Rajavi presented the Iranian Resistance’s Ten-Point Plan for the Future of Iran, calling for a pluralist government built on the separation of church and state and complete gender equality, as well as a non-nuclear Iran.
The book also contains the translation of the speech, which was originally delivered in Farsi, into English, French and Arabic. “Towards Freedom” also includes a series of pictures from the great gathering.

THE ERA OF CHANGE
SPEECH BY MARYAM RAJAVI
PARIS – VILLEPINTE, JUNE 23, 2012
On this day and at such a magnificent gathering, I want to share with all of you my own feelings as I witness this overwhelming enthusiasm.
I see in you and with you the tens of millions of Iranians who are yearning for freedom.
I hear the voices of my brave sisters across our homeland, and the proud prisoners of conscience who are continuing their resistance in the dungeons of [the regime’s Supreme
Leader] Ali Khamenei.
And I hear the outcry of students, workers, teachers and all those who long for freedom and liberation.
