Condemnation of Rising Repression in Iran on May 1 Eve

Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said, “The regime oppresses women in order to hold the entire Iranian society hostage. But the people and their resistance have responded: ‘No to compulsory veiling, no to compulsory religion, and no to compulsory government.” On the eve of May 1st, the Exhibition and conference in “Solidarity with Iranian resistance” at Paris 5th Town Hall, opposite the Pantheon. During the event, the recent death sentences of political prisoners and the stepped-up repression of women in Iran were denounced.
