Maryam Rajavi’s Condolences to the People of Bandar Abbas, Revealing the Regime’s Accountability in This Tragic Disaster

In the aftermath of the catastrophic explosion in Bandar Abbas on Saturday, April 26, 2025, I extend my deepest condolences to the grieving people of this city, with a heart heavy with sorrow.
There is no doubt that the full responsibility for this harrowing disaster rests with the clerical regime, which, through the reckless and unregulated storage of chemicals, weapons, and ammunition in substandard and unsafe facilities, has directly contributed to such devastating tragedies, echoing the horrific Beirut port explosion of August 2020.
On Sunday, April 27, 2025, more than 24 hours after the incident, additional containers exploded in Bandar Abbas. The actual death toll is several times higher than the number reported by regime officials, and the number of victims has certainly exceeded 100.
However, instead of focusing on extinguishing the flames and rescuing the wounded, the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Ministry of Intelligence, and other repressive bodies have dedicated all their resources to controlling the situation and concealing the nature of the solid rocket fuel cargo and the full scale of the catastrophe.
Once again, I extend my deepest condolences to the grieving families and wish a swift recovery to the injured. I also express my gratitude for the invaluable and tireless efforts of our fellow citizens in assisting those affected. I especially call upon the courageous youth of Bandar Abbas, as well as the cities and provinces nearby, to intensify their efforts in supporting the underprivileged workers and their families.
