Iran: The staggering Coronavirus death toll in 543 cities exceeds 300,000
Mrs. Rajavi: The clerical regime, and specifically Khamenei and Rouhani, are responsible for the death of most of the victims
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Friday, May 28, 2021, that the catastrophic COVID-19 death toll in 543 cities had exceeded 300,000. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 70,256, Isfahan 20,010, Khuzestan 18,744, Khorasan Razavi 18,265, East Azerbaijan 12,313, Lorestan 12,080, Mazandaran 12,065, West Azerbaijan 11,278, Gilan 10,091, Fars 9,967, Qom 9,615, Alborz 8,408, Golestan 7,295, Sistan and Baluchestan 6,896, Kerman 6,718, Hamedan 6,648, Central Province 6,248, Kermanshah 5,883, Kurdistan 5,147, Semnan 5,125, Yazd 5,057,North Khorasan 4,328, Ardabil 3,750, Hormozgan 3,640, Qazvin 3,444, Zanjan 3,280, Ilam 3,146, Bushehr 3,109, South Khorasan 2,776, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 2,460, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 2,339.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), expressed her condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families of the Coronavirus victims and wished a speedy recovery for those infected with the virus. She said Iran under the rule of the mullahs has the highest Coronavirus death toll per Capita worldwide.
By relying on the strategy of mass casualties, Khamenei intends to erect a barrier against the looming popular uprising, Mrs. Rajavi said. Otherwise, he could have limited the dimensions of the catastrophe by allocating part of the one trillion dollars stolen from the Iranian people, which are is in possession of the foundations under his control and the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).
By refusing to pay the workers and laborers for several months, Khamenei forced them to go to work without the necessary medical and health protocols, leaving them to the mercy of Coronavirus. He also prevented them from buying vaccines from the United States, Britain, and France. According to experts, vaccination will not be carried out until the end of the Persian calendar year (March 2022), leaving a vast majority of Iranians susceptible to the subsequent COVID-19 outbreaks.
The spreading uprisings and protests of workers, laborers, retirees, and defrauded investors in recent months point to the failure of the regime’s criminal policy of mass casualties, have exacerbated public outrage and hatred towards the clerical regime, and strengthened the people’s determination to overthrow it.
Considering the catastrophic dimensions of the next possible Coronavirus outbreaks, especially simultaneous with the upcoming sham presidential election, Mrs. Rajavi called on different sectors of society to challenge the plunder of the mullahs and the IRGC and protest and rise up to achieve their minimum human rights.
