Execution of 12 Prisoners in a Ruthless Manner on Wednesday, with 56 Executions in the Past 17 Days
Maryam Rajavi: Urgent Call to Halt the Execution Machine and Massacre by the Mullahs’ Regime
In fear of being overthrown and in an attempt to suppress the people’s uprising, Khamenei is sending prisoners to the gallows group by group. On Wednesday, November 8, at least 12 prisoners were hanged by the barbaric regime. Nine prisoners in Qezelhessar Prison, Farhad Aghaie in Kermanshah Central Prison, Akbar Farokhi in Urmia Central Prison, and another prisoner in Kerman Central Prison were executed by the executioners. With the execution of these prisoners, the recorded number of executions in the past 17 days has reached 56.
Simultaneously, suppressive forces in the border areas of Baneh and Nousud attacked nine hardworking compatriots who were engaged in backbreaking work as kolbars (cross-border labors), trying to make ends meet under the looting rule of the mullahs. One of the kolbars, Azad Sattarpanah, was killed, and eight others were wounded.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), stated that Khamenei is desperately attempting to prevent explosions of the people’s anger and uprisings by executing and massacring within the country and engaging in warmongering in the region. However, these crimes only intensify the people’s outrage and hatred against the regime. She called on the United Nations, the European Union, and member countries to end their inaction in the face of the regime with the highest record of executions and instances of torture in the 21st century and to take urgent action to stop the executions of prisoners. She emphasized that the Iranian people are paying the price of appeasement of the bloodthirsty mullahs through imprisonment, torture, and more executions.
