Maryam Rajavi: The Mojahedin’s great commitment is to liberate the people of Iran from the yoke of the mullahs’ dictatorship
Speech on Eid-al Fitr – Ashraf3
I congratulate the Eid-al Fitr to all of you.
Dear compatriots, who are preparing for the uprising to overthrow the clerical regime, the People’s Mojahedin of Iran, courageous members of the Resistance Units, supporters of the Iranian Resistance, and political prisoners in Iran,
Congratulations to our people across the country who have paid and are still paying the bloody price of freedom, with 120,000 martyrs who laid down their lives for freedom, with 30,000 blood-drenched roses massacred in 1988, with more than 1,500 martyrs in the November 2019 uprising, and with dozens of martyrs during this year’s uprising in Saravan. Our people have suffered immensely during the pandemic because of (the mullahs’ supreme leader, Ali) Khamenei’s atrocious policy of spreading the virus.
The Coronavirus’s rampage and the deaths of some 300,000 innocent Iranians, as well as the poverty and unemployment of millions of others, are truly bitter and tragic. This Eid carries the promise of the feast of the Iranian people’s liberation. Although it bears an aura of the anguish, pains, and tears of our people, it heralds the ultimate defeat of the mullahs’ religious fascism, and that day is not far.
Eid-al Fitr celebrates human kind’s victory and liberation
The message of succeeding in the test of willpower is that human kind’s victory over obscure fates is inevitable.
Therefore, Eid-al Fitr celebrates human kind’s power and potential to achieve whatever he/she needs to. It means that human beings can and must overcome their internal hindrances, social and political obstacles, and finally overcome oppression, tyranny, and exploitation. So, we can and we must overthrow the mullahs’ religious fascism, the Velayat-e Faqih regime.
We pray to God on Eid-al Fitr to allow us into the realm of all the virtues and excellence that he bestowed upon the Prophet Mohammad and his family.
وَاَنْ تُدْخِلَنى فى كُلِّ خَيْرٍ اَدْخَلْتَ فیهِ مُحَمَّداً وَ الَ مُحَمَّدٍ
And we ask Him to save and protect us from all the vice and evil from which he shielded Mohammad and his family.
وَاَنْ تُخْرِجَنى مِنْ كُلِّ سُوَّءٍ اَخْرَجْتَ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّداً وَ الَ مُحَمَّدٍ
Indeed, this prayer represents the desire of the suffering people of Iran.
The virtues and excellence epitomized by the Prophet of Islam are compassion and liberty. Our people thirst for liberty and freedom. They are keen and impatient for emancipation, for which they have sacrificed enormously.
On the contrary, the mullahs’ Velayat-e Faqih regime epitomizes all conceivable vice and evil. Our people pray for a way out. Getting rid of this evil regime is the focus of all their protests, which is to rise up and rebel against it.
As Massoud Rajavi, the Leader of the Iranian Resistance, once said: Indeed, “which evil or vice is worse than the ignorant and reactionary regime ruling Iran? So, O’ God, save us and our nation from this historic evil! O’ Almighty Lord, always keep alight the blazing red lines between us and this atrocious, anti-Islamic and anti-Iranian regime.”
This Ramadan, all members of the PMOI/MEK and the Resistance Units in Iran renewed their vows on a much more elevated level. They articulated their roadmaps, which is an outstanding gift to all the people of Iran.
They determined the fate of the people of Iran by vowing to liberate them from the clutches of the mullahs’ murderous and tyrannical regime to save this deprived, oppressed, and homeless nation that is reeling in the grips of disease and poverty.
So, we see protests brewing throughout the Iranian society despite the pandemic and the broader spread of the Coronavirus in cities across Iran; and even though the regime’s blood-thirsty leaders have left our people defenseless in the face of this disease and its horrendous casualties in a bid to prevent the outburst of more protests.
This year, the International Workers’ Day protests were more passionate and more extensive. Quite a few demonstrations, for example –in Aleshtar and Saravan– ended up in clashes where angry protesters stood up to the regime’s suppressive forces. The retirees and pensioners have been holding nationwide protests in recent months. High school students have risen up in several cities. And in many cities, the Resistance Units who are the standard-bearers of uprisings against the regime ceaselessly continue to keep alight the flames of their anti-repression operations.
Yes, our society is determined to get rid of the clerical regime’s evil rule and is fast approaching its Fitr of liberation.
Iranian regime trapped in the straits of downfall
My fellow compatriots,
Today, the clerical regime is caught up in a deadly strait that has been unprecedented in its history:
The upcoming presidential election charade next month has placed the regime in quite a perilous condition despite its theatrical nature. Even if Khamenei manages to bring out his desirable candidate from the ballot box, this will render the regime more vulnerable in the face of widespread protests, further pushing it to the verge of overthrow.
Meanwhile, the regime is at a deadlock in the negotiations over the fate of the nuclear deal and the sanctions. For Khamenei, the lifting of sanctions is a vital need. Meanwhile, it is dangerous for his shaky regime to give in to the demands of and conditions set by the U.S. and Europe.
On the other hand, the final conviction of the regime’s terrorist diplomat in the High Court of Belgium in Antwerp was an effective blow to the mullahs’ regime.
The clerical regime has lost its internal equilibrium. The Revolutionary Guard Corps’ commanders are openly engaged in internal feuds. In a leaked audiotape, the regime’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif admitted that war and suppression have absolute priority over all political, diplomatic, and public relations considerations for the regime. These developments have revealed that the clerical regime is incapable of containing the widening schism at the top.
The economy is in shambles, and the mullahs have no solutions to offer. The position of the mullahs’ supreme leader is clearly and rapidly weakening.
All these predicaments have put the regime under pressure, but the regime’s most urgent problem, which is more important than all the other problems, is the great danger of being overthrown. The thunder of uprisings and an enormous force of rebellion, much greater than the November 2019 uprising, is waiting in the wings.
It is the Iranian people’s Resistance and their uprisings that will decide the nation’s future and destiny. This is precisely why the mullahs have resorted to a plethora of tactics in charlatanism, intelligence and propaganda deceptions, and a psychological war, precisely to hinder the inevitable prospect of their regime’s downfall.
Rebels win freedom
The mullahs endeavor to propagate reactionary illusions, advocating that the struggle to overthrow the regime and bring about political and social change is impossible and futile.
The most significant effort on the part of the regime is its vast slander and demonization campaign against the Iranian Resistance and the PMOI/MEK. They have published numerous books and produced and screened numerous films and TV series to tarnish the image of the Iranian Resistance and the movement’s history. All these efforts aim to convince people that there is no alternative to the regime, and it is better to live under the regime’s rule despite all its evils.
Despite the regime’s hysteric efforts, however, rebels will win victory and they will overcome all these conspiracies.
Massoud Rajavi said in his Nowruz (Persian New Year) message: “We must begin a new day and a new season in the struggle against both the Coronavirus and the ominous virus of the Velayat-e Faqih. We must not give up. We must rise up and rebel at any cost. We must not allow the pandemic to block the path of uprisings and to paralyze the people like the clerical regime desires. … No such opportunity, room or backing is conceivable for Khamenei and his regime in the year 1400 (2021). Rebels and protesters must take over.”
Yes, the feast of the Iranian people’s liberation and freedom is on its way. The courageous young generation, the Resistance Units, and the Army of Freedom will vanquish the ogre of suppression and repression. They will quash the dark castles of reactionary ideology, lies, and deception. They will set Iran free and restore peace and tranquility in the Middle East and the rest of the world.
