Maryam Rajavi Extends Her Condolences on the Passing of Senator Lieberman
I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the sudden passing of Senator Joseph Lieberman, a former candidate for the vice presidency of the United States and a long-time supporter of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
I extend my heartfelt condolences for the loss of Senator Lieberman to his wife, Hadassah Lieberman, his family and friends, and the American people.
While expressing gratitude for the late Lieberman’s unwavering, continuous, and invaluable support, I, along with the members of the Iranian Resistance, particularly the PMOI members in Ashraf 3, share in the grief of the beloved Hadassah.
We will never forget that he pursued the most decisive policies against the religious fascism ruling Iran and rushed to aid the PMOI/MEK in Ashraf and Liberty during the most challenging conditions. He dedicated himself to ensuring their protection, security, and relocation from Iraq, doing everything within his power to assist them.
His memory and his commitment to democracy, human rights, and his support for the PMOI members in Ashraf will live on. I am confident that on the day of Iran’s freedom, his soul and his wishes for freedom and democracy in Iran will be with us. The Iranian people will always remember this great supporter and friend during difficult days.
