Iran: Huge protests in Karaj and Arak in commemoration of Uprising martyrs
An unforgettable lesson to Khamenei and his mercenaries
Maryam Rajavi: That Karaj, the center of rebellion, rose on the 40th day of the martyrdom of its brave children
Today, Thursday, November 3, city of Karaj, west of Tehran has risen on the 49th day of Iran’s nationwide uprising and the 40th day of martyrdom of its heroic martyrs. Despite the presence of a large number of suppression forces and shooting and tear gas, a large number of people gathered in Beheshet Sakineh cemetery. Also, residents of different neighborhoods of Karaj and cities of Alborz province took to the streets and chanted “Death to Khamenei” and “Death to the dictator.”
Suppressive forces had closed the Karaj freeway, the old road, and the roads leading to Behesht Sakineh since morning and were stationed in Behesht Sakineh and its route. Despite the continuous firing of tear gas, however, people managed to go to the cemetery on foot from different routes and clashed with repressive forces on their way. The regime flew a helicopter over the crowd.
Youths blocked the Qazvin-Karaj highway and the entrance to Behesht Sakineh so that the regime’s forces could not bring in reinforcements. While chanting, “Be afraid, be afraid, we are all together,” they attacked the regime’s mercenaries and forced them to flee. They set fire to one of the regime’s vehicles and punished one of the plainclothes agents. People were chanting, “All these years of crime, down with this regime,” and “The one who is crippled (i.e., Khamenei) is the murderer of Shah Cheragh.”
Youths set fire to one of the police trailers in Karaj and demonstrated in Kamal Shahr and Hesarak while chanting, “This year is the year of sacrifice; Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown.” They also barricaded the streets with concrete blocks.
Also, the ceremony of the seventh day of Mehrshad Shahidi’s martyrdom in “Behesht Rezvan” in Arak, capital of Markazi Province, turned into an angry demonstration of people against Ali Khamenei, the regime’s supreme leader and his regime. Mehrshad Shadi, a 20-year-old man from Arak, was martyred by the agents of the Arak Intelligence Department. In this ceremony, people chanted, “Death to the dictator” and “All these years of crimes, down with this regime.”
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said that Karaj, the center of rebellion, rose on the 40th day of the martyrdom of its brave children. People have surpassed tear gas, bullets, and IRGC brutal agents. Chants of “This year is the year of sacrifice, Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown” can be heard everywhere in Karaj, and the rebellion youths have frustrated armed mercenaries and showed that “the target is the regime in its entirety.” She added that the noble people of Arak started another uprising on the seventh day of Mehrshad’s martyrdom with the slogan “All these years of crimes, down with this regime” and showed the end of tyranny and the dawn of freedom, and people’s sovereignty is near.
