Commemorating victims of the Ukrainian airliner crash, at Ashraf 3
A ceremony was held in the presence of Maryam Rajavi at Ashraf 3 in Albania, on Sunday, January 12, to commemorate the victims of the Ukrainian plane crash.
Residents of Ashraf paid homage to the 176 innocent human beings who lost their lives when Khamenei’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) shot down the aircraft on January 8. They expressed their indignation at the criminal clerical regime, lit candles and laid flowers before the pictures of the victims, and extended their sympathies to the victims’ families.
In her remarks to this ceremony, Maryam Rajavi said:
We have come together to commemorate 176 innocent human beings killed by Khamenei’s IRGC in the tragic downing of a commercial airliner, and to once again declare that the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the Iranian Resistance and the people of Iran will neither forgive nor forget.
The people of Iran were still grieving over the loss of 1,500 martyrs in the November uprising when they suffered another harrowing pain. The cowardly killing of 176 people in the disastrous strike at a passenger aircraft.
Pointing out to the protests by young Iranians and university students in memory of their friends, Maryam Rajavi said:
The fury and anger of their friends in universities and cities across the country once again confirmed that the people of Iran will neither forgive nor forget. They will neither calm down nor disperse, but will remain in the scene and continue to cry out: Death to the principle of Velayat-e Faqih, down to the dictator. The people of Iran do not want Iran’s ruling dictatorship.
What happened today and yesterday in universities in Tehran and other cities, once again showed that the more they kill Iranian people and youth and the more they crack down on the rebellious youth and students, they will come back to the field stronger, angrier and more rebellious.
Yesterday, the people of Iran, particularly young people and students, responded to the mullahs’ murderous supreme leader.
Yesterday, the scenes of universities in Tehran and other Iranian cities, and the cries of Iranian people, students, rebellious youth, and resistance units displayed a small part of this anger and rebellion, and the Iranian people’s will to overthrow Khamenei who is the source of their misfortunes.
The reality is that the mullahs’ supreme leader is infuriated today because the sham atmosphere built during the funeral processions of terror Master Qassem Soleimani was undone overnight.
I salute Massoud Rajavi, the Leader of the Iranian Resistance, who has been the voice of the Iranian people and their pioneers, and the voice of oppressed people throughout these days and years. At every turning point, he has backed them and elevated their demands to a new height.
Massoud’s expressive voice in such circumstances became a harbinger of hope and triumph for the people of Iran and signaled the day of reckoning for those who executed and oppressed our people over the past 40 years.
He said: Time has come for crushing the inhuman regime.
