Maryam Rajavi: deep resentment for Splashing acid on women’s faces in Esfahan on pretext of mal-veiling
crimes and said: The mullahs’ regime that is fearful of mounting popular discontent, especially that of women and the youth, is attempting to prevent the explosion of their wrath through these brutalities and intimidations.
In recent days, organized gangs affiliated with the mullahs’ regime have been splashing acid on the faces of a large number of young women in Esfahan under the pretext of “mal-veiling”. The victims of this heinous act amount to eight, six of whom have been hospitalized in Esfahan’s Feiz Hospital.
Maryam Rajavi, expressed deep resentment for these appalling crimes by clerical regime’s elements and called on all human rights bodies and women’s rights defenders to condemn these atrocities. She said: International community’s silence in the face of these brutalities under the pretext of nuclear talks is tantamount to encouraging the mullahs’ regime to continue these atrocities in Iran.
She added that the medieval clerical regime that is fearful of mounting popular discontent, especially that of women and the youth, is attempting to prevent the explosion of their wrath through these brutalities and intimidations. She called on the brave youth to expand their protests against this savagery under the pretext of tackling “mal-veiling”.
These premeditated crimes by the clerical regime which is known among the people as the “Godfather of ISIS”, are carried out following the regime leaders’ emphasis on the need for further suppression of women and the youth. Mullah Alam al-Hoda, regime’s Friday prayer leader in Mashhad, said: “Confronting mal-veiling and lovers of the West and Western culture is the duty of the State Security Forces.” He emphasized: “The regime’s power and maintaining Sharia and religious codes is the responsibility of security forces and the commander of this force is Khamenei and we should act according to our commander’s orders.” (Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the terrorist Quds Force – October 6)
Mullah Movahedi Kermani from Khamenei’s faction had also stated previously: “Emergence of mal-veiled women in the country is a grimace to the system… the authorities should not acquiesce to this… Mal-veiling is not a private sin that nobody should care about … If a sin manifests itself, it then involves everyone and everyone is sinful. Therefore, necessary provisions should be adopted to eradicate the sin.” (Tasnim News Agency – June 6).
