Maryam Rajavi at Flowers Festival at Auvers-sur-Oise
Maryam Rajavi: Flowers are watered by heart-felt solidarity
The Flower Festival is an old tradition celebrated in cities across France, from 6 to 15 of June when French families put on display their best ideas in flower design and decoration for everyone to see. The festivity also helps renew bonds of friendship and love among neighbors.
A celebration was held on this occasion on Saturday, June 6, at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Guillot, one of NCRI neighbors at Auvers-sur-Oise. The beautiful flower designs and plantations met great enthusiasm of fellow neighbors. The celebration featured musical performances. Children planted saplings symbolizing a future of peace and friendship.
Maryam Rajavi attended the celebration and visited the Guillot family and other neighbors. She lauded their efforts to uphold this admirable traditions. She said: “Your lovely flowers and the saplings of hope planted by children are indeed watered by your gentle humanitarian emotions and the hope, love and solidarity that fill your hearts for a better future for all human beings. These values have made your flowers all the more beautiful.”
“I want to thank all of our friends, here and all over the world, who have always supported this Resistance,” Mrs. Rajavi said. “You have stood with us in the most difficult moments because you know the Iranian regime is the principal threat to global peace and security. We want a secular, pluralist republic and a non-nuclear Iran based on equality and separation of religion and state.”
The Flower Festival also featured handicraft and art workshops by friends and neighbors in Auvers-sur-Oise.
