Names of 32 more martyrs of the Iranian people’s uprising released
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) released the names of another 32 martyrs of the Iranian people’s uprising, bringing to 432 the number of victims identified so far. The pictures of 169 of the victims have been published.
The number of martyrs of the nationwide uprising exceeds 1,000. The religious dictatorship ruling Iran is doing its utmost to conceal the real scope of this crime against humanity.
The PMOI also announced that the names of 320 martyrs have been registered by hospitals in Kermanshah Province (western Iran). Additionally, during the uprising in Tehran, the IRGC’s so-called Mohammad Rassoul Allah Division transferred the bodies of more than 100 victims from different regions first to the paramilitary Bassij center in the capital’s District 7 and later to an unknown location.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), while emphasizing that this horrific mass murder constitutes one of the most egregious crimes of the 21st century and a manifest case of crime against humanity, called on the United Nations Security Council, as well as the European Union and its member states to take urgent action to stop the killings and secure the release of those arrested. The Security Council must declare this major atrocity a crime against humanity so that the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, its President Hassan Rouhani, and other leaders face justice, Mrs. Rajavi said, adding that inaction vis-à-vis crimes against humanity is inexcusable and the mullahs will construe it as a green light to continue and intensify their crimes. She also urged the UN Secretary General to send a fact-finding mission to Iran without delay to investigate the extent of the killings and visit detention centers and those arrested during the uprising.
