Maryam Rajavi at the Town hall in Paris 2nd – meeting with Mayor Jacques Boutault
Mayor Jacques Boutault and other mayors from Ile de France and province welcomed Maryam Rajavi.
Maryam Rajavi paid homage the monument in the memory of the “children of the 2nd district” fell in battle against the Nazis. She laid a basket of flowers for them.
She also honored the memory of Secretary General of the Town Hall during the Second World War, resistant Jacques Bidault, arrested on a tip in 1943 and deported to the Neuengamme concentration camp, where he died in December 1944 with a basket of flowers.
Then Maryam Rajavi met with the mayor in his office to explain the objectives of Resistance of Iran as the only answer to fundamentalism and extremism which acts under the cover of Islam.
In this meeting Mr. Jacques Boutault expressed his solidarity and support for the Iranian Resistance’s struggle for freedom and democracy in Iran.
