Maryam Rajavi: There is a viable alternative that has the power to overthrow the mullahs’ regime and rebuild Iran

On the sidelines of the Iranian Resistance’s Free Iran Gathering at Ashraf-3 in July 2019, hundreds of international personalities from 47 nations attended a reception in which they declared their solidarity with Iranian people and their uprising.

In this reception, several dignitaries spoke and a declaration by both houses of the British Parliament in support of the Iranian people’s uprising and Mrs. Rajavi’s Ten-point-Plan was presented to her by Sir David Amess, a senior MP and the joint president of the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom.

Mrs. Rajavi offered a few observations.:

The series of demonstrations and meetings which started in Brussels and continued to Washington, D.C. and Berlin have now reached the heart of the Iranian Resistance, in Ashraf 3.

As you saw, Ashraf 3 is an inspiration to the people of Iran, and represents their resolve to build a country committed to regional and global peace and stability.

For 40 years, and even more for some of them, the members of this Resistance have dedicated their lives to the struggle for Iran’s freedom.

They come from among Iran’s elite. Many of them were educated in the West, and all together they represent our nation’s various ethnic groups and religious minorities.

Your presence here and meeting them face-to-face is a major defeat for the Iranian regime which did its utmost, through demonization campaigns in the media and elsewhere, to prevent this opportunity.

The mullahs are aware of the impact of the Iranian Resistance in Iran. So, they do everything in their power to prevent them from reaching out to the people of Iran.

Still, millions in Iran watched today’s gathering live, via the internet and our satellite broadcast.

Fortunately, through you, as the representatives of the free world, we can spread our message to the international community.

Now, you can take back with you the hopeful message that there is a viable alternative which advocates a free Iran. It is capable of overthrowing the mullahs’ regime. It can rebuild our nation and resolve Iran’s complex problems.

In all these years, the regime has tried very hard to prevent policy makers, the world public and the Iranian people from getting to know the reality of this Resistance, namely its dimensions, force, organization, popular support, nationwide network, plans and programs for tomorrow’s Iran.

The people of Iran have never lost hope, even in prisons. They are more determined than ever to change this barbaric regime.

I am confident that with our struggle, with your support, and with the Iranian people’s resolve, we will take back our homeland, Iran
