Meeting with German lawmaker Norbert Geis

In her meeting with German lawmaker Norbert Geis,

a Christian Democrat and member of the Bundestag’s Council of Veteran Members, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi discussed the role of an alternative to the Iranian people’s enemy, the ruling clerical regime. She explained how the Iranian Resistance has managed to prevent the growth of Islamic fundamentalism through its pivotal force, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), which is committed to a tolerant interpretation of Islam. Mrs. Rajavi also pointed to the regime’s ongoing plots, including its long-standing psychological warfare carried out in parallel to the suppression and murder of Resistance activists.

For his part, Mr. Geis described Mrs. Rajavi’s struggle and efforts as courageous and significant, adding: Your struggle is the answer to the Iranian crisis and as such it is deserving of every support at the German Parliament.

Mr. Geis added: The Iranian regime’s threats are serious and if they are not confronted, this situation would ultimately culminate in a devastating war.

The veteran German MP also said: In my view, the solution you have offered, namely democratic change by the Iranian people and the Iranian Resistance, is the correct option.
