National Council of Resistance of Iran Summit – July 2024
The summit of the National Council of Resistance was held on Friday, July 5, and Saturday, July 6, 2024, with the presence of Maryam Rajavi.
At the beginning of the session, after a collective performance of the anthem “O’ Iran,” Maryam Rajavi emphasized: “The sham elections are the outcome of the deadlock and significant failures that plague the clerical regime. The Iranian people have clearly declared: ‘Our vote is for overthrow.’ There is no place for elections under this regime; it is time for revolution.”
NCRI members emphasized during the two-day discussions that beyond the massive and scandalous electoral frauds and the power and wealth struggles among the ruling factions during the sham elections, the main political reality is the disruption of the regime’s balance due to Raisi’s death and the repeated hammer blows of election boycotts from the Iranian people.
During the two-day discussions, the members of the National Council of Resistance of Iran congratulated Maryam Rajavi and participating compatriots on the impressive achievements of the Resistance, including the successful organization of the grand rally in Berlin and the Free Iran 2024 World Summit. They highlighted the impact of 20,000 revolutionary acts and over 1,700 diverse operations by Resistance Units across cities nationwide. They also expressed their gratitude to the organizing committee, and Resistance officials and supporters, acknowledging their comprehensive and tremendous efforts in making this significant event a reality.
The NCRI summit described the simultaneity of Khamenei’s disastrous defeat and nationwide boycott during the sham elections with the successful organization of the grand rally in Berlin and the Free Iran 2024 World Summit as indicative of the main polarization in Iran’s political sphere. It symbolized the confrontation between the forces of the people and freedom against religious tyranny, continuing the historical struggle against both the Shah and the Mullahs.
The NCRI summit highlighted that Khamenei’s major defeat and the widespread boycott of the sham elections coincided with the successful Berlin rally and the Free Iran 2024 World Summit. This coincidence underscores the main polarization in Iran’s political sphere: the struggle between the forces of people and freedom versus religious tyranny, continuing the historic fight against both the Shah and the Mullahs.
This process began after the February 1979 Revolution and took shape as an organized resistance against religious tyranny, driven by the objective and subjective conditions of the time. Massoud Rajavi has described it as “the greatest, longest, most complex, and bloodiest organized resistance in Iranian history, guided by the principle of neither the Shah nor the Mullahs.”
