A number of political personalities, lawyers, and members and officials of the National Council of Resistance of Iran participated in the event.Speaking at the ceremonies, Maryam Rajavi said: “Dismissal of this case foiled the most extensive investment and political strategy of Mullahs’ regime in France and across Europe aimed to dismantle the Iranian Resistance. Ten years of complicity by those appeasing the religious fascism in Iran in order to block any change in Iran has come to an end., This development, however, is a major victory for justice and law, for the Iranian Resistance, and for Camp Ashraf, and is a strong sign of resistance movement’s rise.”
She added: “Under no circumstances, at no cost, and under no pressure, the Iranian people’s resistance has, or will give up the right to be free, the right of Iranian people to have democracy, the right to resist dictatorship and fascism, and to pursue their lawful rights.”Expressing her appreciation for all political personalities and hundreds of thousands of French citizens who rose up in the past ten years in defense of the Iranian Resistance, Maryam Rajavi said: “They have, in fact, fought for human values, democracy and human rights.”She added, “Now is the time for compensating the damages of June 17th attack and the case that was fabricated in collaboration with the Iranian regime, and for the French judicial system to bring to justice the main perpetrators of the irreparable damages of June 17th attack. The greatest damage caused by this case was to prolong the life of the mullahs’ regime by suppressing its main opposition. If it weren’t for such fabricated charges, lists and blocking of the Resistance by western states, today there wouldn’t be any sign of the mullahs’ regime whatsoever and it would have been dismantled by the Iranian people.”Maryam Rajavi said: “Once again, I ask the French government and President Sarkozy to lead an international initiative at the United Nations and the Security Council to protect the lives of Iran’s freedom fighters at Camp Ashraf in the context of international human rights, international humanitarian laws, and the Fourth Geneva Convention.”
