Protests in Zahedan: Slogans and Placards Against Khamenei; We Swear by the Blood of Our Comrades, We Stand Firm until the End; I Will Kill Whoever Killed My Brother; People of Baluchistan Will Never Compromise with Monarchy and Theocracy
On Friday, July 7th, despite severe suppressive measures, the people of Zahedan once again took to the streets after Friday prayers to protest against the plunder and oppression of the mullahs’ regime. Protesters chanted slogans such as “I will kill whoever killed my brother,” “We swear by the blood of our comrades, we stand firm until the end,” “the mullahs should get lost,” “Political prisoners must be freed,” and “I will reclaim your blood, my martyr brother.”
The placards held by the protesters bore inscriptions such as “Death to Khamenei,” “The people of Baluchistan will never compromise with monarchy and theocracy,” “Political prisoners must be freed,” “Death with honor is better than a life of humiliation,” and “Bloody Friday in Zahedan, a repetition of the crimes of the Shah and the mullahs in Baluchistan.”
In fear of the people’s protests, the regime cut off internet access in Zahedan and deployed suppressive forces in the streets.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), addressing the heroic people of Zahedan, stated, “Let your voice be heard loudly, and may your determination grow stronger. The cry ‘I will reclaim your blood, my martyr brother’ symbolizes your determination to overthrow the mullahs’ regime. As you, the seekers of justice, have written on today’s placards, a hundred years of crimes by monarchy and theocracy in Baluchistan is enough. Iran, with its ethnic and religious diversity, will be liberated via solidarity and uprising.”
